How to apply for the SEAI Heating controls upgrade grant
If you are interested in applying for the SEAI heating controls upgrade grant, you must first confirm that you are eligible. The grant is available to all homeowners – including landlords – with homes that were built from 2006 onwards. Construction must comply with the 2003 Building Regulations.
Once eligibility is confirmed, you will need SEAI contractors to complete the work. NRM is an SEAI contractor and will allow you to take full advantage of the heating controls upgrade grant.
The grant can then be applied for online or by post, with online applications being processed more quickly than those made by post. Once a grant offer has been received, you have 30 days to accept the offer.
The work must be completed by your registered SEAI contractor within 8 months of the date of the grant offer. A registered BER (Building Energy Rating) assessor can then complete an assessment of the work done and publish a certificate reflecting this.
